Traditional Timber Windows and Doors for a Property in West London

The Sash Window Workshop manufacture, install, and draught proof timber windows and doors, specialising in working on period properties.

The company were contacted for a quote to replace a front door and some windows at a property in West London. The property was located within a Conservation Area, meaning that the new windows and door needed to be ‘in keeping’ with the area.

A visit was arranged with one of the sales surveyors at The Sash Window Workshop and a quotation was sent across for the work.

After a few minor adjustments to the original quote, the customer decided to place an order for a complete new front door, two box sash windows, a bay sash window, and a French casement window.

An additional survey was then carried out to confirm details for manufacturing, before the items were manufactured by The Sash Window Workshop at their workshops in Bracknell, Berkshire.

The customer was then contacted to arrange an installation date, and the new joinery was installed by two of The Sash Window Workshop’s fitters over 3 days.

Upon completion of the work, the customer commented that they were very happy and “delighted with the service you [The Sash Window Workshop] have provided”.

The Sash Window Workshop have extensive experience working on a wide variety of period properties, including Victorian, Edwardian, and Georgian buildings.

The company offers a supply only service nationwide, with an installation and draught proofing service across London and Southern England.

In addition to sash windows, they also work on casement windows, fixed windows, front doors, French doors, bi-fold doors and sliding doors.

The Sash Window Workshop use Accoya as standard, which is a sustainably sourced wood and comes with a 50-year anti-rot guarantee.

All new joinery is double glazed as standard to improve energy efficiency. However, they can also manufacture single glazed windows and doors and comply to Conservation Area and listed building regulations when required.
