Contemporary concept

Matteo Brioni is set to continue research for continuous clay finishes after presenting a boiserie system named Arazzi.

Designed by Marialaura Rossiello, the project is part of the news that Matteo Brioni presented during Milano Design Week 2019.

Arazzi was born under the artistic direction of the Architect Marialaura Rossiello of Studio Irvine who explains: “It is a modular and geometric system with contemporary lines, inspired by the tapestries of textile art tradition; the real frame where the clay is ‘laid down’, thanks to the installing skill of Matteo Brioni.

“The Arazzi collection is designed to cover the walls, through a modular system of panels to be composed to create your own personalised environment.

“This wood panelling thus becomes a three-dimensional monomaterial in clay, unique and not reproducible.”

A jump from the past to the present, a classic art form reinvented for the occasion and now becomes a contemporary system, modern and suitable for the needs of any environment.
